If you have ever wanted to do an exhilarating challenge for charity here is your chance. Global Reconciliation Projects are looking for adventurous volunteers to trek in Iceland taking in the stunning Icelandic landscape and if you raise enough in sponsorship you will get to take part for free! Imagine some of the worlds most spectacular wilderness areas in Europe with a mix of wild volcanic landscape, steaming lava fields, icecaps, waterfalls and much more. Brief Itinerary
Day 1. Fly London - Reykjavik
Day 2. Mt Hekla trekking; see old lava flows from the last eruptions
Day 3. See lakes and lava -fields of Domadalshraun; mountains of Landmannalauger; relax in some hot springs at the end of the day!
Day 4. After a challenging day trekking camp on the eastern shore of Alftavatn Lake
Day 5. See Myrdalsjokull Glacier and then see Markarfijotsglijufur canyon which is well over 100m deep
Day 6. Stunning views of three separate glaciers
Day 7. After the last days trekking, celebrate your achievement!
Day 8. Free Day
Day 9. Fly Back.
